The Sea Hawks and Parrots painted their planter bottles this week! The classes used recycled plastic half-gallon bottles as planters and painted them in art class with Kate. The students chose a variety of colors and scenes to illustrate. With the new colors in place, the students are almost ready to hand over their plants to the senior citizens at the Isaacs Center.

Although we are still having some cold weather, the trees are budding and signs of spring are all around us in the natural environment, from longer days to warmer sunshine and hints of green in our landscape. The Sea Hawks' and Parrots basil plants have also sprouted as part of our Life Cycle Project with the Stanley Isaacs Center. The students will be transplanting these plants into painted recycled water bottles before sharing them with the senior citizens at the Center.
