The Tigers, Great White Sharks and Cheetahs have been practicing their graphing skills as part of the forces unit. The experiments in this unit produce numerical results that lend themselves well to graphing activities. Using graphs and charts in this way is part of the New York State elementary science standards, and it's a really important skill in other content areas as well. Graphs are all over non-fiction texts, technological spaces and math lessons. By designing graphs from the ground up, our students are gaining a strong understanding of the purpose of graphs and how they help us understand and process information.
